I would say that Vader kept using Boba as his go to bounty hunter. Because he’s a clone. Boba reminds Vader of Rex and 501st. And how much he relied on them. And how effective they were. And it’s the same voice across all clones. So while Vader knows that the clone army will never come back. Having at least one remaining clone to call upon. Triggers Vaders nostalgia.

that book was so great. Vader didn't have any written inner monologue in the book, or narrative text. yet the author and artist conveyed emotion off an emotionless face. just a tightened fist and a cracked view port. Vader was pissed... the emperor lied to him.
