i don’t doubt kratom withdrawal, but my prescribed effexor is also known for its withdrawal. i think it’s possible there are a good amount of people that have healthy relationships with it that dont talk about it due to misconceptions. i’m not saying it’s the healthiest thing, but it’s cost benefit analysis for people with chronic health issues, disabled people, etc.

I've taken Kratom for 13 years and I've haven't changed my dose in 5 years. I do wish there were more information on Kratom I hate that I dont know all the risk factors and long term use

My boyfriend had a grand mal seizure while using kratom. They’re not 100% positive why but their best guess is that it was a negative side effect of kratom mixed with his prescription medication. He hasn’t used it for years now.

kratom is also super interesting bc not only does it work on the opioid receptor but it’s also been shown to have alkaloids that interact with dopamine and serotonin receptors too. so the anti depressant qualities are def there.

In Thailand Kratom was used in Thai Traditional Medicine recipe to help those addicted to opium back in the 1300s when opium den was legal and taxable.

It took me 8 days of tapering to get off of 7o and no longer feel the withdrawal. Wasn’t the worst but also wasn’t great. It’s so expensive. Just don’t start it. I was spending hundreds every week on just that.
