ngl this is actually healthy, as long as it’s not coming from ego or trauma. being a bit distant, direct when needed, and not forcing yourself to fit in everywhere is fine, that’s just having boundaries and knowing your peace. but i think the important part is also making sure it’s not turning into “i don’t let anyone in at all,” because peace isn’t just being alone or serious all the time, it’s also being able to choose the right people without losing yourself. you don’t need to entertain everyone, but you also don’t have to shut everyone out to prove you’re strong or different. real calmness is when you’re selective, not closed off.
