These are Home Affairs interns that were employed since 2022/23 specifically to the digitisation project, they don't engage with the public. So these accusations of corruption are unfair because they don't process ID/Passport applications.

Home Affairs has had poor service for years, even if things may be improving now. Work should be about helping people, not just getting paid. Staff were still paid while systems were often offline. There is little sign of Batho Pele principles. Instead of taking responsibility, people were often blamed just for coming in. Staff were often not polite. And that’s without even talking about corruption ✌
