If public prayer in open spaces is acceptable, it raises questions about the necessity of additional mosques, since worship can take place anywhere. British culture has long been rooted in tolerance, but there is a growing concern among some that this tolerance is being stretched to the point where it feels like surrender. There is also a sense of frustration that the current Labour government is not fully representing these concerns or reflecting the views of all parts of the country.
