As someone who left a 9-5 ine year ago, I'll say it depends on the nature of the job and your take home salary. If your salary can only take care of your basic needs (transport, feeding, accommodation) then forget it, you need another job with a better pay. I was working Monday to Saturday. I tried hard to upscale. It was very stressful and I ended up having health issues (High blood pressure, consistent heart palpitations), I had to drop the job.

for now stocks, gold and bla bla is none of my business, I started my job with my HND certificate gradually I saved and wrote DCP exam which I used to get a higher paying job, I then started my BSC and would be done next month after which I will move to ACAMS which is over a million naira even if it takes me 7 months or more to get it and we continue from there.

But what do you do when your 9-5 is way too tasking🥺 I work in a food factory where 9-5 is not really the deal and I work all through the weekend as well which means not really much time to even pick a skill or go upskill. Thinking about it is exhausting🥹
