@girlthepoet: #creatorsearchinsights If your avoidant ex is in no contact and it feels like it’s not over it’s because they are telling themselves these 3 things 1. I did the right thing by leaving 2. I was not good enough anyway 3. If I ever want them back they will still be there Avoidant attachment protects their ego not the relationship They do not sit in the loss they justify it And as long as they believe you are still an option they never have to fully feel what they lost #avoidantattachment #avoidantattachmentstyle #avoidantattachmentissues #mentalhealthmatters
Time moves SO differently for them! Two months is like two days for them. (I say this with zero positive or negative meaning, just observation).

This is exactly what I’m going through right now. This is so hard. But I’m trying my best because I love her.

It’s the ghosting that gets me. Can we not just communicate that? Doesn’t have to be a long drawn out conversation. Like just let me know. I have never broken no contact and never will.

Every time I want to reach out to my avoidant, I just write that message in my Notes app instead, and never send it. I may never see or hear from her again, but at least I am staying true to myself and not abandoning myself and my dignity. I’m so disappointed in her and in certain ways like her a little less, but my love and devotion for her remains as potent as ever. It sounds like a contradiction to love someone who you don’t like as much anymore, and that is, but life is full of simultaneously existing contradictions.

If you get discarded by someone, you shouldn't care whether they 'still want you' or not. Discarding/ghosting should be a red line.

I think we as a collective need to get a grip and the avoidant just doesn’t like us as much as we thought. That happens and it’s okay

What does it mean? It’s been 8 months since we broke up. For the last 4 months, he had been watching my posts, and then suddenly stopped. Is it over?

Yesterday evening, after a year of seeing someone with an avoidant attachment style, I finally managed to have a clear and honest conversation with him. He explained that he pulls away because he can’t handle the emotional intensity that develops in the relationship, and that, for various reasons, he feels unable to take the next step. Instead, he ends up coming back in cycles and keeping things on a superficial level.
It was exactly what I needed to hear, and I finally closed that chapter. Having that conversation wasn’t easy, but I hope I can now truly move forward, because this situation kept me stuck for a long time—far too long. I just hope I’ll be strong if he comes back, because I don’t want to feel this kind of pain anymore.

Our situation is complicated but we had a forced ending before we were ready. We were very much still in the connection. He wouldn’t give me a straight answer about a real future together. I once and for all asked for clarity about a future so I could move accordingly. No response. Been a month today since I asked. What the hell?! I know I should take his silence as my answer, but to completely ignore me is unlike him. What gives?!

what if he wanted no contact and i respected his decision and gave it to him and he reached out the next day saying he doesn't know if what he is doing is right and it doesn't feel right

idk and i dont get it tbh - like they have to eventually realise that n/c eventually just becomes im never talking to you again tho right? i just find it strange, first they ice you out when you want answers, then you give them what they want (n/c etc.,) then they break the silence and message you, not for repair but for just ... nothing. thats what it felt like last time, he really didnt need to message me it wasnt an apology or an explanation - it was just another opportunity i give him to confuse me even more.
