@fetcherdogrescue: I know some people are in denial about what is happening here in the U.K. with stray dogs and our pound system but we get messages like this continuously and denying that dogs are being put to sleep in council-run pounds every day across England is not going to solve this issue. People thinking that their dogs are safe and are guaranteed a rescue-space if they dump them is part of the problem. People need to know that rescues are FULL and most pounds just don’t have the space to hold onto dogs after they serve their statutory 7 days. When that time comes and a rescue space isn’t found, they are put to sleep. It’s heartbreaking but it’s the reality of the situation we are currently in. We managed to squeeze this big boy in this week when he ran out of time but not all dogs are as lucky as him. ❤️ #pounddog #rescue #deathrowdog
