AI "assisting" with production support will expose the real work our software engineers do. The mental challenge that is attempting to take the entire context of production and fix a problem...it's hard. Doing it wrong has terrible consequences. Especially at companies that support technology supporting life-critical domains (like the medical field). We need to be CRITICAL as to why, how, and how much we use AI in our field. At a personal level, the answer to those question are: For things that don't matter. As an extention of the rubber ducky already at my desk. and As little as possible.

My boss keeps talking about using AI to handle scheduling and dispatch... I hate that idea so much because it's going to cause so many issues, and we should just have a person doing that job.
