As someone who has worked in testing prior to medications being released and has been on GLP-1s even if ONE person has a negative side effect (even something simple as nausea) they must be reported. So, yes, the company is wrong for not listening certain side effects but that doesn’t mean people shouldn’t use them. For some people, who have tried EVERYTHING prior to getting on GLP-1s, other alternatives don’t work. I was one of those people and have not had any issues. But for those who have I hope they’re able to find an alternative that works for them. All this to say, let’s not villainize one treatment because you’re not a fan.

I’d like to add some context to everyone up in arms about the FDA issuing a warning letter. It was for the fact that they were late in reporting the adverse events. Not for the events themselves. With a drug like this, the side effects are declared prior to a drug being cleared that’s how it gets its classification.

I started a GLP-1 November 19, 2024. To this day I’m still recovering from the side effects. One emergency surgery I did not heal. Had to have another surgery. Had to learn how to walk twice in a year and a half. The only Dr that came out and said it was from the GLP-1 was my neurologist. That being said it has helped a lot of people, but not me.
