🤔 yeah cuz the jobs that didn't require having a high school diploma actually paid more than the ones with cause degrees once you get better hours 😳 plus many of the other jobs just updated the requirements to add degrees

This is a good move. I don’t use my degree at all. Even when I tried it was completely irrelevant to any job I had. So, I just had to learn. They expected me to have learned what they do but the college did not prepare me for the careers.

They remove the requirements but that does not change that the positions require those degrees to know how to do the job and they dont and wont train anyone.

They removed the requirements because ppl with degrees are not interested in low paying government jobs. Funding won't increase for the positions, so lowering entry requirements broadens the applicant pool. This wasn't done out of benevolence.

A lot of county jobs require a degree. It’s kinda crazy. I understand education but the rest seem meaningless. Obviously it the high skill jobs like mechanical engineering for water is fine.
