@jayprehistoricpets: Hanging out with turtles and bearcats today and yeah… that’s a pretty unique combo 🐢🐻 That being said, turtles are built for a slower, more energy-efficient lifestyle. Whether they’re aquatic or land-based, their shells provide protection while their metabolism allows them to conserve energy and survive in a wide range of environments. They might not move fast, but they’ve been doing things their way for millions of years. Isn’t that cool or what? Then you’ve got bearcats, also known as binturongs, and they’re on a completely different level. These mammals are excellent climbers with prehensile tails that act almost like a fifth limb, helping them move through trees with ease. Fun fact, they’re also known for smelling like popcorn due to a compound in their scent glands. From slow and steady reptiles to tree-climbing mammals with one of the most unexpected traits out there, it’s a pretty wild mix in one day. That being said… isn’t that cool or what?
