IUDs hurt to get inserted but I heard if you have given birth before it's significantly easier, however copper IUDs can make periods a nightmare

I had the MIRENA IUD for 5 yrs. It was no fuss, no remembering to take a pill daily & I had no side effects from it. I didn’t have a cycle for the whole 5 yrs, but I was ok with that.

i have a copper iud and it’s been absolutely amazing i do recommend the first month can be a little rough with your period but it gets better
