We rent the movies and cd’s from the library so they don’t think about getting rid of them. Our library also has a music studio, 3D printing service, sewing machines etc. I try to use it not only because I’m paying for it, but because I want them to keep providing these things!

Everyone needs to go out and discover what their local library has. My old one (I had to move) you could borrow instruments! One we visited on vacation had a 3D printer. Libraries are a great resource.

To the people saying they wish this stuff was free/cheaper/better quality - it’s because libraries are funded through your town/village/city. If you think they need more money, they’d probably LOVE for you to advocate for them on this. Attending Friends of the Library meetings (if they’re open to the public) and attending town hall meetings to encourage better library funding is always a great option! I’ve seen people do it before. It just takes one person!
