Lala is the reason Ziva was so important to Gibbs. They are both tough and forever fighting to prove their worth. He loved them differently but protected Ziva the way he never could Lala just my thought though

I think the fact that he hasn’t mentioned her says a lot about how important she is to him. He has always held those things very close to the vest.

I think when they finally close out the NCIS verse. ALL characters are back for a large farewell after 30+ years. ending with Gibbs fishing and Lala shows up to finally give Gibbs the peace hes looking for.

I think Lala went to witness protection, Gibbs located her at some point and that is why he is in Alaska.

I hope she’s alive somewhere 😭 I think they’ve subtly mentioned her without mentioning her. Crazy I know but how many times did Diane in NCIS say something along the lines of I was never going to be her or you’d never love me like her - people always assumed she meant Shannon but what if she meant LaLa!!!!!!!!!! Don’t get me wrong I know Diane said Im not Shannon and used her name at time but there were times she didn’t use Shannon’s name she used “her”. Hahaha maybe I am crazy and just hopeful that he’s on an island with her somewhere. Lol

We should find out lala is why Gibbs went to where he is now. Lala joined the gang she’s been working with and then vanished after being found out and then when Gibbs got in trouble he went to her and that’s why they’re out there together now like that would tie the two stories in perfectly.

so far....I like to think that lala is the one that got away. she knew gibbs had deep feelings for her and she had deep feelings too. she also knew he was still mourning his wife and daughter. she didn't want to be constantly feeling as if she had to compete with Shannon

Sorry I'm thinking that Lala was the one that got away and we see her with him at his cabin. Vera has only been in 2 episodes of NCIS, Randy hasn't been in any but was kind of mentioned. Cliff hasn't been mentioned, Mary Jo hasn't been mentioned. So I am keeping hope that we see Lala with Gibbs later in life.
