@kaitlinlaforge1: … this has been, without a doubt, the worst experience we’ve ever had with Carnival. This was our 9th cruise with them within a year, and I’ve always been over the moon about cruising with Carnival — recommending them to friends and family every chance I get. But this trip completely changed that. Our balcony door came open while we were sleeping, which is honestly scary, and when we reported it, we were treated like we were exaggerating or flat-out lying. We were told everything “looked fine,” even though the lock is clearly not working properly. On top of that, our room window makes a loud whistling noise all night, making it hard to sleep — and because the ship is sold out, moving rooms wasn’t even an option. The food has been terrible. We’ve been charged for drinks despite having the drink package, and when we questioned it, we were made to feel like we were wrong for trying to use what we already paid for. The ship has rocked constantly — worse than anything I’ve experienced, even cruising through a hurricane. But the biggest issue for me isn’t just the inconveniences — it’s how we’ve been treated. Not once has there been a genuine apology or any real effort to make things right. Instead, we’ve felt dismissed and unheard the entire time. Because of this experience, I’ve gone ahead and canceled my future cruises. That wasn’t an easy decision because I ended up loosing money, but after this week, I have no desire to be back on this ship currently. I’ve always loved Carnival, which makes this even more disappointing to say.
