@daveramsey: If this hits a little too close to home, hear this: You don’t have an interest rate problem. You’ve got a debt problem.   And I don’t care if you make $50,000 or $500,000. Debt is debt. Owing money to somebody else is what’s keeping you stuck.   A lot of people try to play games with the numbers. “Should I pay this first?” “Should I worry about the interest?”   That’s not the real issue. The issue is you’ve normalized payments. You’ve accepted debt as a way of life. And it’s stealing your income, your margin, and your peace.   When you’ve got tens of thousands tied up in cars and student loans, the math isn’t just confusing. It’s screaming at you. You’ve got to stop the cycle.   Sell what you can. Cut your lifestyle. Attack the debt with everything you’ve got. Because your income is your shovel, your debt is the hole, and as long as you keep digging, you’re not getting out.   You don’t need a better strategy.
