@nbcprecisionsprayingllc: I have seen a lot of different programs and I’m no longer sure it’s worth the money.#farmtok #farming #farmer #farmlife #johndeere
If your aren’t using residual you are the resistance problem. Why do you think there wasn’t any resistance until we relied on roundup? 30 years no issues then problems non stop.

Corn no. Beans yes. Corn will canopy in time 90% of the time. Beans will have a weed outbreak before canopy 90% of the time

Are you using residual with rr and liberty?

It all depends on weed pressure. Deal with people in some parts of the country that get away with it no problem. Here in my area weed pressure is way to high to not

Too many variables in-crop. Population, spacing, timing, weather, etc.

Yes, you all are spending way to much on herbicide programs. The problem is your soil and weeds are a reaction to the cause. I would explain but it makes it easier to compete against the sheep following big ag indoctrination. Btw universities are at least 20 years behind.

we moved residuals (dual magnum) to 2nd post pass in our soybeans last year (about the 15th of July). cleanest beans we've had for like 5 years. idk that I'd do without them entirely, but they weren't doing us any good putting them down pre or early post

I’m no genius but on a wetter year I could see them being helpful otherwise probably not paying for itself. We do use them on most soybeans though

My first question is when are you doing your post pass? Cause I’m doing my corn post roughly at v2-v3 and soybeans I’m probably second trifoliate. I think going that early without layering residuals is a horrible horrible idea

I hate how residuals injure the crop particularly on a dry year. Beans get burned bad and corn looks beat up for a few days. Not sure if it’s worth it

Heck, I’ve been pondering the same thing. We used to just do round up and seemed to still have the same amount of escapes.
