We NEED to teach our children about responsible drinking/partying. Yes, you can go out and have your fun but the cardinal rule when I was young was, you NEVER left a friend alone. You don’t put anyone in a cab/uber alone, you don’t leave anyone alone at the bar when everyone else leaves. You have to ALWAYS have a buddy with you. And you should always have a “designated driver”. Even if you’re not driving, someone needs to stay relatively sober and responsible. It’s just too scary of a world and these things are happening too often.
