Agree but if someone’s buying something for me I always always always offer & try to pay them back. For some ppl a coffee $7 isn’t a big deal but for others it could be a determining factor whether they’ll be able to buy food the next day or not.. I never assume & always offer to pay back even for little things.

My problem is that I agree with your husband but other people in the group don’t so I end up not putting all the small stuff like coffee & breakfast I grabbed for the group of girls etc. but then at the end of the trip I’m getting splitswise requests for $3 for a shot at the bar 😂

I kind of disagree ! I am the one who usually puts higher bills on my cc for a trip. So people are always paying me back at the end of the trip. If I pay 2k for the air Bnb split with 5 people. The coffee that I ask for ($5 x 5), the cabs we share ($25 x 5 ) , the food, snacks and other small stuff, all add up and reduce the amount other people have to pay me which is fair. I am luckily not worried about cash , however one or two of my friends are a bit tight. So I have no issue with including the small purchases in split wise. However- if no split wise is used which also happens quite frequently, then there is an unsaid rule where we just alternate who pays ! (dinners, lunch , cabs. Etc. )

Totally agree - my friends and I always say “it all comes out in the wash” for smaller things. I.e. we all take turns and it all works out (roughly) in the end. Don’t need to nickel and dime friends.
