On June 18, 2025, an Orlando police officer working an off-duty detail at a Publix grocery store observed a woman he recognized from prior shoplifting incidents. While inside the store, the woman selected two boxes of rice, four packages of chicken, and a bottle of wine. As she moved through the store, she removed a multicolored reusable bag and placed the merchandise inside it.
