If you swap the diaphragm and it still runs. Clean or change out the solenoid. Make sure the solenoid is tightened up good. The only time I see the sensor go bad is if you open up the battery compartment and it’s corroded af. You can also use a magnet to make these flush.

I alway replace the whole thing because it's a waste to rebuild because they do there same thing.
