@thatguy__401: Pawtucket, RI — Shea High School Incident (March 20, 2026) A verbal altercation inside a classroom at Shea High School escalated into a physical fight Friday afternoon. According to information provided by students and parents, the incident began over a dispute involving a classroom chair. During the exchange, a female student allegedly threatened to slap a male student if he didn’t move out of a seat. After he told her to do it, she did, and the situation quickly escalated where they ended up in a fight. Video shared with me on scene from parents and students shows a male and female student engaged in a brief but physical fight where they fall to the ground. The male student lying on his back with the female on top, both trying to assault eachother and several female students getting involved. Other students stepped in to separate the group. Two female students were injured — one sustained a puncture wound to the back and another suffered a laceration to the face. Both were transported to the hospital for treatment. The male student involved fled the school but was later located and taken into custody in the area of Comstock Avenue and Slater Street, where there was a significant police presence. As a precaution, the school was placed on Shelter-in-Place. Earlier in the day, an unrelated Shelter-in-Place was also reported, possibly involving a separate student incident. Shea High School Principal Matt Bergeron issued a statement to students and families confirming the incident, the injuries, and that there is no ongoing threat. Due to the age of those involved, police advised the media stations who reached out to them that they will not release additional details due to the age of the involved, which is evident.
