I grew up watching Kai on Nickelodeon with my grandpa whenever it would air. It wasn’t until after he had passed I watched the original dragon ball. I always found it such a funny coincidence Goku was also raised by his grandpa. I grew up without a father and had my grandpa to fill that spot in my heart. Dragon ball will forever be something of comfort to me that I come back to whenever I feel life is too much, or if I just want to reminisce. Thank you for this wonderful edit.

My absolute favorite detail is in Super. In the anime when Goku is waiting for frieza before the tournament, he is doing the same moves he used against Grandpa Gohan. Goku still thinks about him years later 😢
