as a local from Culebra this is horrible for the local economy. Culebra and Vieques rely on tourism and this will end up destroying the economy, small local businesses will suffer, and actually forcing locals to leave these islands, and leave a vacuum for big corporations to buy up the islands.

Im from Puerto Rico, and live in the US. I can 100% tell you, that I wouldn’t mind paying the hike, as long as residents DONT have to pay it. If you are a resident from Puerto Rico, then you should only pay the $2.00. I will be happy with that. Residents shouldn’t have to suffer the price hike

It’s still VERY worth it. If you can’t afford the 22 bucks maybe you shouldn’t be traveling at all. It’s one of the most beautiful islands in the world.

I will be there in June and I’m cool with it. Tourists will still pay. To me, it’s a small price to pay to see some of the most beautiful beaches in the world.
