There’s a whole bunch of people that claim to have maladaptive daydreaming, though that don’t. I had maladaptive daydreaming as a kid, and sometimes as an adult I still slip back into it. My daydreams were so vivid that it was like a voluntary trance that I was in. I have notebooks upon notebooks with details, names, and dates and create a whole realities that would put movies and books to shame. That’s maladaptive daydreaming. Not “I daydream a lot when I’m sad so it must be adaptive…”
