ex-stripper trick we use a spray bottle with rubbing alcohol in it, spray a micro fiber rag then wipe the pole with it. Great sticking power.

If your new to doing this is it best to start with a sticky pole while you build up your strength? It takes alot of upper body strength to do the pole and I’m wondering if I got this pole first if it would help me with this. Then later on getting a regular pole . What are your opinions on this ? I went to use a regular pole and I can barely hold myself. I started back at doing Pilates 3 x a week like I used too . It takes alot of upper body strength that normal people usually don’t have if they are not athletic.
