Starbucks is closed a lot. They also don’t sell cake pops before school only after. The indoor jump places are often closed for cleaning. I have to “charge” certain toys so they can’t play with them while they are charging.

My dad asked me what color I wanted to paint my room as a kid and I said pink. He painted my room yellow and said “the paint store was out of pink” As an adult I’m like “yeah that makes sense they were planning on selling the house in year” but why did he even ask then 😂

My mum told me when I was a child that raisons are sweeties/candy so when I asked for some sweeties, she’d just give me raisins and send me on my way. I didn’t find out there were just dried grapes untill I was about 10.

Before my kids could read I told them the “OPEN” sign in the ice cream shops window said “CLOSED”. I told them the ice cream truck actually sold vegetables and tricked kids who really like sugar. I told them the camera/lights in Target were cameras that went to a tv screen at the North Pole so Santa could see if they were good in the store or asked for toys. Lying saved me during some tough years.
