My Daughter is a teacher and she hates it just as much as all her parents, she has no option but to pay the crazy price cos unfortunately she can’t just take the time out when she feels like it…. Works both ways x

The trick is to not go on holiday involving 5 consecutive school days. Instead Go on a Wednesday and fly back Tuesday.

Tbh someone should create a petition to give the rights back over their children and allow them to take our from school if they want to because end of the day it’s the parent child first of secondly if the child miss out on education it’s parents fault and nobody should be blamed or held accountable for it. Plus they should also allow kids to be sick we live in uk weather is crazy and kids get sick very often and school fine you if your attendance is getting low even if you didn’t take your kid for a holiday just simple they was ill

School holidays are to expensive to go away its such a shame i have no clue why holiday places do this. Kids need education but also time away we do as adults so why wouldn’t the kid?

🤣 Friday was eid and there was 3 children in my sons year that went school Friday and they spent the day colouring no lessons, I took my son into school an hour late today because he's had opticians I got a lecture off the teacher about missing valuable school time 😳

Schools acting so caught up on missing out on school is a piss take. My son’s school has two PE lessons a week, that’s until they decide to put on a “production” and the kids don’t do PE for weeks and weeks.

I'm getting fined for exactly this 🙄 first holiday aboard with them, first time I've done it and my son is in year 6 😂 got to love it

Yep. I sent an email to say they weren't coming in as we were in Florida. When we came back there was a school event - made sure to wear my jumper with Walt Disney World in big letters all over it
