publix greenwise brand has gluten free cakes! they’re in the cooler cases and say GF on them. they have a lemon, strawberry shortcake, and chocolate one

I feel there are 2 different types of people with celiac, ones who come to people’s comments to shame them and ones who live life and give in sometimes. I am in the same group as you, sometimes it’s just so hard not to give in!! When every single people around me (including hubby and kids) eat gluten, it’s bound to happen. I’ll eat the cheesecake but not the crust and it’s so worth the risk!!

Goddamn people are such haters. No one is perfect and I’m sure you know the risks involved with cross contamination. People are acting like they’ve never accidentally or intentionally ate something because they wanted to feel a sense of normalcy. And while the gluten is damaging regardless of symptoms, not everyone gets hospitalized or experiences severe symptoms from things like this with celiac!! My mom has celiac disease and sometimes people just want to feel normal for once even though they know it’s harmful for them. Live your life girl!!

I too have done this. I have also eaten the cheese off pizza. super risky but celiac is such a burden and sometimes we do need to feel somewhat normal

You can buy a little frosting some certain stores! I sometimes get it from my bakery Walmart and then eat it or make a cake with it

I make or buy myself a whole ass gf dessert and bring it, typically depends on my bandwidth at the time if I make it myself or buy something. Homemade buttercream is so easy to make.
