Unfortunately UCI and UCLA have a 1% acceptance rate for direct nursing for incoming freshman and a 3% into accelerated nursing for transfers. My daughter went through this last year with UCLA, UCI, CSUF and SDSU, eve thought she had IB and about 8 AP mostly science as well as CNA and TEAS exam graduated 4th in her class with a 4.7 GPA .Nursing is extremely competitive. However she did get into Mt Saint Marys and CSUSM. She ended up committing to CSUSM and even though she was not happy at first she is really loving it now. So it’s not rejecting it’s redirecting, you will end up where you’re supposed to be. Best of luck. 😉

The “I’m sorry mommy” killed me 🥺. It’s ok to cry and feel sad. Just let it all out and get right back up and you keep pushing girl. No matter what program you get into, you will become a nurse and that right there is the ultimate goal. Doesn’t matter how or when you get there as long as you get there in the end.
