@pyzgldak794: Heavy hydrocarbon cracking is a refining process where large hydrocarbon molecules, such as those found in crude oil, are broken down into smaller, more useful molecules. This process typically involves heating the heavy hydrocarbons to high temperatures in the presence of a catalyst, which breaks chemical bonds and results in the formation of lighter hydrocarbons like gasoline, diesel, and various petrochemicals. It's a crucial step in refining crude oil into more valuable products. 👉 Follow @coreengineeringg 👈 #HeatExchanger #ShellAndTube #ThermalEngineering #ProcessEngineering #HeatTransfer
im a hydrotreating unit operator and we have 4 of those but bigger, they go about 2080 system pressure.

Worked at one that could crack a wide variety of feeds. Heavy liquids to natural gas. Furnaces and Primary Fractionator were massive. I recall the hazard analysis that ran through what ifs that led to smoldering crater.

Looks like a nice little exchanger. I work a gas plant that gets its feed from a cat cracker
