Remember, up until about age 3, parallel play IS playing with friends. That’s “playing with friends” for a 2yr old. Integrated play *begins* to occur around age 3.

my husband used to work 4 12 hours shifts at the county jail, and then when his 4 off days landed on the weekend he would take all 4 kids, yes 4, out for the day so I could sleep, clean or just relax alone. and when they got home the kids would tell me all about their day. bring me the surprises they got me. AND he would cook a delicious meal. I hit the jackpot
