@takenapss: Let's Check on the Left, Part 5 This video from @mariacomstock has 11M views on Instagram, with thousands and thousands of people clapping for the virtue signal with no reasonable concern for actual outcomes. Everyone wants free everything and a wonderful utopia where everything is perfect, but expecting a bloated, overpriced, overpowering and inefficient bureaucracy to create it is to completely ignore history, reality and actual outcomes. We're not that different on either side of the aisle, but we disagree on how to get there. It's socially rewarding to "say the thing" and appear virtuous, but what is actually more virtuous is to understand why we got here and how more power and resources maintained by the people would get us there faster. To suggest that those who disagree with your views on governance "want" the worst possible outcome is dishonest and distant from real solutions that would actually achieve our mutual goals. But whatever I guess.
