I have encountered patients who get swelling immediately after puncture even with a butterfly on a plump vein. is it right to say that they have thinner vein walls? if not what is causing it?

Hi I have important question to ask. Pregnant women can use xrays on low radiation if doctor says right? But only rarely that happens to pregnant women?? Like they use the xray when the women might have medical conditions/reactions while having a baby?
