I guess I was really lucky with my 2015 rouge cvt, had 160k + miles on it, not a single service, ran beautiful and smooth, even very responsive with doing forced shifting without problems. sometimes wonder how others destroy their transmissions early on 😅

A couple of months ago, my 2014 Cherokee suddenly wouldn't start after a busy day of driving to various places. My first thought was a low battery—fair enough. I got a jump-start, and it fired up, but it wouldn't accelerate; the dashboard was reading 45 or 50 mph, but that wasn't right—I was actually only going about 20 or 25 mph. My mechanic took the vehicle in and discovered that the battery was putting out excessive voltage, which had fried some wires and the alternator. Consequently, he replaced the alternator, the battery, and several specific wires. All told, the parts came to $980. It turned out great, and it's been running smoothly ever since.

did not service my cvt forester, recommend at 60k. my cvt left the chat at 82k. lesson learned. also cvts suck.

I got a 2004 honda crv with a check engine light the code I keep getting a are p1457 I did the dang smoke test, no leaks, swapped the fuel filler pipe, checked the wiring harness and everything looks fine. My buddy is saying I need a new gas cap 🤦🏽‍♂️🤷🏽‍♂️also when I get gas I gotta rev the engine or the car turns off. Please concept tres performance pimp my ride. ! 🫩

my nissan made it to exactly 200,000 miles when my cvt transmission went out let's just say its not easy to find people that will work on it. I got a new car and no more cvt engines lesson learned

‘18 Nissan Sentra Nismo - never changed the fluid - didn’t know much about it when I got the car honestly- nearly 200k miles on it now. Nice little car and nearly 45mpg 🤷🏻‍♀️with that gas mileage- I’ll replace the trans IDC
