I’m so sorry this happened. It’s all too frequent. I made a Shipping Vintage 101: to try and help sellers package better. Feel free to share. The most common shipping method (paper and bubbles) isn’t good enough most of the time unfortunately.

As a seller, this hurts my soul. I wrap every item with paper then 6 layers of bubble wrap, then Seran wrap... I fill thr box with cardboard and brown packing paper. I literally shake my boxes before I tape them to ensure nothing is shaking. I hope you messaged the seller!
