I’ve done minaret lake and I’ve been through desolation wilderness. They are both so so gorgeous. I did a through hike through desolation, best backpacking trip of my life. And minaret was unreal, it’s definitely a bit of a climb but 100% worth it!

If you go to Desolation wilderness, please do Lake Aloha. It’s by far my favorite hike out there!!! Or Mount Tallac if you want to summit a peak

Clouds rest is such an epic hike. The spine section at the top is wider than you think but getting onto it gets a bit sketch

Make sure u make it to lake 5 if u do big pine , not only is the lake stunning walking back down gives you such epic views
