this is why I use dava picks. scoring them worked for a time then I started using any pick with the bumps and ridges on it. then I found dava picks. they have rubber around the the head of the pick and it makes perfect for zero slip and they're not bad picks

In like 1998 I bought The Great Southern Trendkill used at a Wherehouse Music in my town and inside the case under where the CD goes the previous owner put one of those pics in there. Still got it in the case buried in storage. Dunno if it's one of Dime's but always heard he scored his pics

And Vince’s tech did the same with his sticks. Backwards and scored with a box cutter! Then wear gloves. Not for me but pretty cool for VinMan

Vinny Paul Did the same thing with his drumsticks. I caught one at a hellyeah show. And he also played his drumsticks backwards.🤘🤘

I’ve been doing that since the early 90s. That’s how I learned about that. I have some of dimes picks. I always do that to my Dunlop ultex sharps .90 I love the grip and no slip haha especially with fast heavy picking. You all should try it. Also I do both sides 🤘🏻🎸🤘🏻
