You place the opener on the top of the can, not the side

so it works easy on tall cans, what about short cans like canned tuna or chicken, won't be able to turn handle all the way and would have to put at edge of counter to make a full turn and then with my luck I would either drop the can or spill all the liquid in the can.

This can opener was the best purchase of the year. The electric opener kept blowing the fuses, the old fashioned Dollar Store opener kept stopping. This opener is so easy to use.

wish they would show how it would work on a smaller can like a tuna can

what if it's a small can? you'd have to bring it to the very edge of the counter for the long handle to be able to move 🤷🏽

The handle is too long. It would be hard to open a small can of mushrooms or tuna

When my granddaughter (28) saw mine. She started laughing and said grandma why is it so huge? Had her open a can, now she wants one!
