Omg, someone who actually watches invincible, and understands his Mark’s character😭. Nvr thought I’d see the day. But to add onto what you was saying, I also find it interesting that the villains that mark had to make decision was 2 “villains” that aren’t exactly evil. 1 was being controlled, and the other has what is essentially a split personality. So, in doing so, it’s asking the question at what line is Mark willing to go to ensure that the villains stay down. And Mark having to deal with the weight, knowing those 2 villains aren’t actually evil, but still knowing he HAS to do something, is a great way to get this point. Of Mark not wanting to be a hero. Genuinely peak writing

Better be a King than a Hero. All the benefits but none of the downsides. Prime example Pirate King or even somelike King Gigamesh or King Sinbad. All the respect and authority with none of the self sacrifice bs and moral expectations.

I really hope that they keep this type of progression in the show because this is my favorite thing about the comics is that Mark realizes that your standard comic heroes that’s not how things really work. I know a lot of people didn’t like this, but I really like this character progression.
