I’m going to be 65 on April 2028 , however I did backdoor conversion from traditional Ira into Roth in January of this year, so is this going to affect me for 2028 ?

Can’t you put your 401k money in a different account where you can pull it out without it effecting you?

None of you influencers will answer my question. Regarding what you’re talking about if I sold my home at 62 or 63 as the income obviously will show I made 300,000 more dollars than I normally would. So my Medicare is going to be based off of that but the next year I will not show that much income it will be back down to my normal rate. Does the Medicare cost go down the next year? Is it only for that one year that you sold the property.

Frankly, this is a bunch of bullshit. It's like you're penalized just for trying to get to the finish line. It's bullshit

So is it maybe better to file separately if you are married? Especially if one spouse earns significantly more than the other.

Retirement is a qualifying event, so you can appeal the increase.

I plan to sell my house at 64 to move in with one of my children. Will the sale of your home be a trigger for IRMA?

You can appeal this with Medicare. A friend did this when she retired and she made a nice six figure salary and got a reduce rate.
