@mikeganino: Jonathan Groff in Just in Time made me want to throw my own coaching in the air and start over. The man is the greatest stage performer of our generation. I was on the aisle, fourth row, and when he came up the stairs through the show he literally spit on me. So first of all: blessed. Anointed. Covered in Groff sauce. Never bathing again. But truly — what wrecked me was his presence. In a 776-seat theater, he somehow was in intimate connection with every single person in the room. That is platform power — not just rizz. And there was not one second — not a single damn second — where it felt like he was acting. No indication. No “watch me do this.” Everything felt real, lived, spontaneous, immediate. That’s the goal. That’s what we’re all chasing as communicators: to be so fully inside the moment that the audience stops watching a performance and starts having an experience. Also Sadie Dickerson as Sandra Dee took what could have been a caricature and created magic. Also the Broadway Cares sweaty bowtie auction? Unhinged. Perfect. Theater. #broadwaymusicals #broadwaytiktok #groffsauce
