Great question!! Since your hair has been heat styled differently to its natural texture, it’s temporarily set in a new pattern however every time your hair comes into contact with water (which includes moisture in the air) it essentially starts to reset to its natural pattern. There’s no way to completely stop this from happening as a product can’t completely seal the hair cuticle but there are some that will partially seal it or can help to smooth the hair when it gets frizzy 🤍

Underlying cause is lack of moisture. Your hair is seeking moisture so much it’s trying to draw from the air around it. Doing a good moisturizing deep conditioning mug treatment and then using products that are specifically designed for anti-humidity is going to help to keep the hair smooth and hydrated. -🫶🏽 hairstylist of 12 years
