Make the Dough Whisk flour and salt. Add yeast mixture, remaining sugar, yogurt/sour cream, butter, eggs, and vanilla. Mix, rest 5 minutes, then knead 5–7 minutes until smooth and slightly sticky. Let rise 1–1.5 hours until doubled. Shape & Proof Roll dough to ½ inch thick, cut donuts, and place on parchment squares. Cover and proof 30–45 minutes until puffy. Let them air-dry 15 minutes before frying. Fry Heat oil to 350–365°F. Fry 1–2 minutes per side until golden, then drain on paper towels. Glaze & Serve Whisk glaze ingredients until smooth and runny.
