@startupslick: Engine bays get filthy, and buying cans of degreaser adds up fast. So I use WD40 in a spot sprayer, let it soak, hit stubborn spots with a nylon brush, then rinse carefully staying away from connectors and electronics. I mean wd40 is not a degreaser. Great for rust prevention, and the sureshot is nice too. But not for degreasing.

nice! I have done this for years, cleans off the dirt and grease, makes all the rubber and plastic look new and any rust areas are saved.

WD is used to prevent water on surfaces, it stands for water displacement. Dawn dish soap would actually be a better degreaser than WD.

That's a good idea because of the WD-40 gets into any electrical it actually conduct electricity so it won't screw up your electric electrical
