Weiter so🥳🥳

7️⃣ years on T today 🥹🏳️‍⚧️ Does this count as growing into my trans elder status? My transness is a more calm, more routine part of my life than it was when I first started to transition. I was full of eager energy, nerves and excitement about the possibility of who I could become, how much closer I could move toward myself. 7 years after that first shot, I spend the day cleaning up, running errands, seeing loved ones like it’s any other day. I realize that THIS is the miracle of transition. The quiet ways of living the exact life we always dreamed of. Save for some hateful politicians and the impacts of their violence, this is it. I cried in therapy this week, thinking about my 12-year-old self, the urgency I had around defending myself and proving that I was good enough. I think about how that shows up in my life today. When my therapist asked me to talk to that version of myself, I realized I can give my adult self permission to just be. I can tell my younger self that I’ll take it from here. I will evolve forever, shedding parts of myself that no longer serve me and being so gentle with the parts of myself that stay. I am proud to be trans, proud to be alive, proud to be a person that loves deeply and works toward the world I want for us. In that world, people that are questioning themselves, defending their right to be who they are, begging to be recognized as good, KNOW that who they are is beautiful. Believe in yourself and all of our rights to live and love authentically. Together, we can do anything ❤️🌍 #trans #transition #testosterone #nonbinary #gat
