I believe you can only answer no if is tourist visa but you cannot answer no if an invitation letter was sent to you by a family member

I was deported last December because while I was on board my hotel reservation was canceled because of invalid credit card and when I get to point of entering they didn’t let book another I was sent back, can I reapply for another visa ?
