MORPHEUS… :
It was composed by Iraqi Sufi composer MULLAH ‘UTHMAN AL-MUSILI (1892-1923). The song was in Arabic but it was introduced to turkey when Mullah moved to Istanbul (where song was changed from its original religious element). He actually introduced the Iraqi Maqam to turkish music like the Mansuri and Mousilli Maqams (know in Turkey as al-Hafidh). He even had the honor of performed for Sultan Abdul Hameed.

In Palestine, Jordan, Lebanon and Syria, we sing the lyrics of a love song to this tune by the words ghazaleh tab jourhee which roughly means your beauty heals wounds. It originated as a spiritual song in Iraq then travelled through the Ottoman Empire and had many versions. Thank you for sharing with your gorgeous voice and feeling.
