I don’t mean to scare you about maternity pay… But I wish someone had shown me these numbers before I had my daughter 👇 Nappies for the month - £40 Formula (if not breast feeding) - £50 Food shops - £100 minimum per week Phone bill - £30 A tank of petrol - £70 That’s £590. Out of £840 for the month. You haven’t paid one bill yet. You haven’t paid your rent or mortgage. You haven’t paid for anything extra your baby needs that month. That’s what new mums are expected to survive on, whilst feeling the pressure to ‘soak up every second’ of maternity leave. I remember sitting on maternity leave doing the maths and wondering how I was supposed to enjoy this precious time with my baby while constantly worrying about money. I wasn’t looking to become rich. I wasn’t trying to replace my salary. I just wanted enough extra income to stop checking my bank account every day. But I couldn’t face the thought of going back to work early, to miss so much of my daughter just to make it through the month. That’s when I came across another mum on here selling digital products from her phone, at home with her baby. She wasn’t an influencer. Just a normal mum who had learned a new skill and ended up never going back to work after maternity leave because of it. I was sceptical, doubted myself but honestly the thought of staying the same was scarier than trying something new. So I spent nap times and a couple of evenings learning how this worked. What started as trying to make a few hundred pounds on maternity leave, has changed my life: 🤍 Earned almost £6000 this year alone from my phone 🤍 Was able to go back to work part-time 🤍 Spend more time with my daughter 🤍 Earn more than I did in my full-time job 🤍 Create options I never thought I’d have If you’re on maternity leave and the numbers aren’t adding up, you’re not failing. The system simply wasn’t designed to make it easy for us 🤍 Comment MATERNITY or send me a DM and I’ll send you the free guide on how this works I wish I’d had when I started maternity leave 👇 - Disclaimer: these are my personal results.
